Description:obv. Bare head of Edward, left, around border : EDWARD PRINCE OF WALES. INDIA 1921-1922, rev : In centre, the badge (three ostrich plumes) of the Prince of Wales, surrounded by an oval garter with royal motto : HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE (Evil be he who thinks evil) surrounded again by the collar chain of order of the Star of India, all surmounted by the Prince's coronet. Impressed : E & Co.
Usually fitted with a claw and a plain swivel suspension with a neck ribbon in maroon with broad blue stripes towards each edge. Eighty-four of these medals were presented to Indian officers and police. None to any British officers of officials. They were in commemoration of the royal tour.
