Description:obv. Bust of Wadia, half right, wearing the Parsi turban, around border : SETH HORMUSJEE BOMANJEE WADIA, rev. Around border : PRESENTED BY THE TRUSTEES 24 TH OCTOBER 1930. In centre : IN / COMMEMORATION / OF / THE CENTENARY OF THE / ATASHBEHRAM.
Usually suspended from a lug and ring. An Atash Beram was a fire temple of the first degree, large and important. Hormusjee Bomanjee Wadia was a prominent ship owner in the early part of the nineteenth century, very active in Parsi organizations, at his death in 1826 he was seen to be a towering personality and respected by all.
