| Description | : | obv. Centre motif of Prince of Wales' plumes surrounded by the royal motto and surmounted by a crown. Large G (George), to left, and M (Mary), to right, rev : At top : T.R.H. In circular script around upper border : GEORGE PRINCE OF WALES, in lower centre : & / VICTORIA / MARY, around bottom border in circular script : PRINCESS OF WALES, in upper centre : INDIA / 1905-6.
Similar to the Prince of Wales’ medal for the visit of 1875- (875.1.4). Suspended by a ring through an integral lug at top. 26 gold medals were issued to personal staff and 1,625 silver medals were presented to all staff on the ship HMS Terrible, HMS Renown and the Royal Yachts.
